Moto Maxx aka Droid Turbo Launching in India Soon on Flipkart
Flipkart’s tweet makes it look like Motorola is all set to launch its Moto Maxx handset in India.
Flipkart tweeted out the following tweet today afternoon. Flipkart has not mentioned any launch date though.
From the tweet the words ‘accelerated performance’, ‘ballistic nylon’, clearly hint at the Moto Maxx as it has a ballistic nylon build which is a durable material with distinct texture. It also has a layer of DuPont Kevlar under the nylon, which is a material that is five times stronger than steel. Apart from this the Moto Maxx has a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 along with a nano-coating that is water repellant.
On the specs front the Moto Maxx is expected to have a 5.2-inch display with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution (~565 ppi pixel density with Corning Gorilla Glass 3). It will have an AMOLED panel. It will be powered by a Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC and Adreno 420 GPU. You get 32/64GB of storage and 3GB of RAM.
It will run the Android 4.4 KitKat OS and is expected to get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update as well.
On the camera front, it sports a 21MP rear camera (2160p@24fps, 1080p@30fps) with dual-LED flash unit and a 2MP (1080p video) front-facing camera.
Its international pricing comes to roughly Rs 46,000 so this will be the most expensive Motorola phone that will sell in India.
