Samsung Galaxy Note gets Hindi keyboard via OTA update
Ever since its launch in November, the Samsung Galaxy Note has become India’s favourite ‘phablet’. Now adding to its Indian charm Samsung has just released an OTA update for the hybrid, which adds a Hindi keyboard. The guys at the XDA Forums are claiming that the new build is Android Gingerbread 2.3.6 with the kernel version being 188.8.131.52, which brings a number of new features.
In addition to the Hindi keyboard, the English keyboard has also been updated with it sporting a new five-row layout in contrast to the previous four-row layout. XDA users are also claiming that the update has improved battery life and has also added a new unlock screen and a new torch widget.
Admittedly we are yet to test this upgrade, but we will file a post on this at the soonest, once we ourselves check out the update. In the meanwhile, if you guys get to try out the update, do ping us in the comments section below.
